The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts (MVCA) is seeking a dynamic candidate for the position of Executive Director.
MVCA is a regional nonprofit organization with primary focus in the arts through positive artistic expression, performances, exhibitions, and education. The organization’s mission supports the artist and the art enthusiast for the enjoyment and appreciation of the arts. MVCA is located in Little Falls with the Alan and Linda Vincent Gallery, Gift Shop and creative classroom space. Additionally, the organization promotes art activities in the broader community throughout the Mohawk Valley region.
The Executive Director is responsible for the implementation of the mission and vision of MVCA through positive alignment with stakeholders and the community. The position is responsible for proper administration of Board policies, strategic planning, fundraising, financial management, budget preparation, community engagement, human resources and implementing operational objectives. The Executive Director serves as primary spokesperson for MVCA and effectuating positive community engagement.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience is preferred, Nonprofit experience, fundraising, management, grant writing, donor relationship building, and Board governance experience.
Full time position, flexible hours, paid time off, salary negotiable.
