We all start somewhere — and what better place to begin (or continue!) your watercolor journey than in a welcoming, creative space with local artist Neil Baum.
This 5-week studio is open to all skill levels — beginners, hobbyists, and experienced painters alike. Enjoy a relaxed, supportive atmosphere with instruction available based on interest and skill level.

First Stage with Kristin Smith (Ages 8–13, Acting)
Our First Stage Director brings a fun, dynamic approach to theater. These classes build confidence in public speaking, spark imagination, and encourage teamwork through acting, storytelling, and improvisation.

Mixed Media with Wendy Stevens (Ages 8–13)
A longtime MVCA volunteer and valued community artist, Wendy has been a craft show vendor for over 20 years. She’s taught ceramics, kids’ parties, and adult painting classes, and works in many mediums from canvas to wood to ceramics. Kids will explore painting, drawing, collage, and more!
Thursday Classes
Creative Expression with Mrs. LaVenture (Grades K–6)
Sometimes, artists start with a fun idea or a “what if” question. With guided inspiration, Mrs. LaVenture helps students use prompts as a springboard for imaginative thinking, building confidence, and creating original ideas.
