Meet Artist: Jodi Richard

Jodi Richard is an artist from Remsen, NY. A retired art teacher who continues to teach as an adjunct at MVCC, she owns a gallery and studio on Main Street in Remsen where she pursues her creative journey.

The artwork featured in this exhibition emerges from her passion for transformation—giving new life to discarded materials through meticulous technique. Each piece of tape is hand-cut in reverse and precisely positioned, a labor-intensive process that yields compelling results.

Visitors are invited to interact with these works by holding a light near their eyebrows or taking flash photography, revealing hidden dimensions and bringing the pieces to life in unexpected ways.
