Announcing the Delores M. Restante Memorial Fund
The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts (MVCA) is proud to announce the Delores M. Restante Memorial Fund, established by the Arts Center with the generous donations given in memory of our dear friend and neighbor, Delores Restante of Little Falls, NY.
Always known for being incredibly charitable with her time and resources, Delores brought joy to her family, friends, and even strangers. She was a participant of MVCA’s arts, educational, and recreational programs. For 12 years, she led the MVCA Special Events Committee. Her tireless efforts with many organizations and committees raised thousands of dollars over the years through the Beaux Arts Balls, teas, fashion shows, consignment sales, Bedazzled jewelry and accessory sales, wine and cheese soirees, “Dinner and a Movie,” and many, many bus trips.
MVCA can think of no better way to honor and remember Delores than to establish this memorial fund to help bring new and exciting on-line programing in her name celebrating the arts. This memorial fund will be used to provide seed monies for bringing high-quality, on-line classes and programs to everyone.
Our first journey into this digital arena will be an upcoming video class entitled “The Freedom of Watercolors” with Joanne DeStefano. Filmed in the MVCA 401 Gallery with the help of Embella, Inc., this on-line class will be offered for a small fee soon in the upcoming months. Click HERE to read more.
To the many friends and family of Delores who contributed so generously in her memory, MVCA thanks you from the bottom of our heart. To all who wish to support this fund going forward, your contributions are greatly appreciated. Simply note on your donation that it is for the Restante Memorial Fund.
